We stumbled upon this place on our roadtrip South, & ended up staying three nights instead of two - what a find!

It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of a Big 4, like a fancy water park or jumping pillow, but what nature provided right at our doorstep was 1 million times better.

Only thing I will mention that was annoying, was we used the dryers the afternoon before we left, & spent $12 on three separate 60 minute cycles (we even separated the load to try and enhance drying effectiveness)

Tip - The Tavern down near Coles was AMAZING for the kids, with a huge kids area, & really decent food - caters to dogs too.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful location. The ocean beach is wonderful - you have to wade the creek to get to it, but worth the effort. Facilities are very clean and modern. Sites are very close together, so might feel crowded during school holidays, but very pleasant when we were there. The only annoying thing was a bird that kept singing a slow phrase AF#AE. It drove me nuts waiting for the AD that never came...

With two kids under three, we found the unpowered sites that were across from the public kids park unbeatable. As a whole, the unpowered sites around the camp were in much better positions the powered.

, which resulted in me hanging them out that night and packing them away in the morning still damp - grrrrrrr.

We would have stayed for longer if we weren't time pressured.

I can't speak for the caravan park itself but the location is one of the best in Australia. Moonee is a beautiful beach. Worth a visit.
